Dolls, dolls and more dolls

BJD
I am thinking about getting another bjd. After attending the bjd meet I decided that I really wanted another Little Fee as they are a really good size for me. I am torn between Flora or Lishe. I probably won’t order her until the middle of June.

My other puki should be paid off this weekend. I think I will buy one more puki after I buy the little fee.

Blythe
My Sunshine Holiday arrived today. I decided to name her Summer Breeze. I rather like her and I absolutely love her stock.

Pullips
I ended up preordering all three of the August dolls. I ended up preordering two of the pullip which I intend on splitting with someone basically because I think the pullip would be the perfect base for a custom pullip Harley Quinn. I did cave and preorder the byul, I am undecided if I will keep the doll itself but if I dislike it in person I will trade it to Requiem for bait and use the wig and stock on a dal instead.

I plan on having a doll meet with Requiem next week, I am trading her two blythes plus a little cash for two customs. I will be trading my Adorable Aubrey and my Ashletina for Gogo and Nyx.

Gogo is one of Requiem’s personal customs, she is one of my personal favorites was very happy Requiem decided to re-home her. This picture was taken on one of her previous visits.

Nyx was a custom done just for me by Requiem. She is combination of the Jun Planning custom on the front cover of the pullip mook and what Bianca (Noir’s opposite twin) should have been. She has a removable lip piercing on the opposite side of Noir. The lip piercing is a wonderful bit of innovation and engineering by Requiem as she was able to make it in such a way that you can not really see the hole for the piercing in the lip unless you are looking at it at the exact perfect angle. I was very pleased with her. Please note this is not her permanent wig or outfit.

I bought an eighth Papin. She is a rescue job as she was about to be sold as bait due to some very slight damage to her nose.

Anime Boston- Dolls

You may wonder why dolls are getting their own post but I attended two doll meets at the convention and I carried a doll around for at least part of the day.

BJD meet-

This was my first BJD meet, I had heard about it online but I am not active in the bjd community so it was a bit awkward for me. I was not anticipating such a large meet. Everyone seemed fairly nice, and the dollfie dreams were better received then I thought they would be but I think my Ante, Marie stole the show.


Luckily, my Fairyland Puki Piki arrived on Friday even though she had only been with me a day she came too and I even managed to find clothes small enough for her to cosplay in. Before and after shots

Impromptu meet- There was supposed to be a pullip panel which got canceled then there was supposed to be a meet which never really came together so I basically decided I was having a pullip meet come hell or high water so I stopped and talked to everyone carrying a pullip that I seen at the con.

I think we eventually had five or six people then we snatched a nearby person that we spotted walking by with a bjd for even more dolly goodness. I felt very at home as we eventually ended up with four Papins lol. I broke Joyette’s leg during the convention but I have already fixed it.

Other sightings-
I seen lots of people carrying around bjds at the con. Here are some of the ones I seen around..

When I was getting ready to get on the escalator while carrying Ryomou I bumped into a gentlemen with a very lovely volks bjd he had named Charlotte. Of all the bjds I seen at the con she was my very favorite.

Carrying Dolls- After the bjd meet I decided that my partner in crime and I would both be carrying the Dollfie Dreams around. The reactions were mostly positive lots of people seemed very interested in them, I even got an offer from someone wanting to buy Ryomou which I politely turned down (of course). DDs are not that heavy but my wrists were very sorry after carrying Ryomou around for several hours.

We got the most stares when we went to go get lunch in the food court mostly because we had to walk through an actual mall to get there but it was still worth it.

More doll rambling

Clarity and Lizbel arrived today from VOTD Scot was an absolute peach and gave me free doll carnival t-shirts must remember to email him later and thank him.

I took the rest of my dolls off the market although I am trading two blythes with Requiem for her custom Go-go as well as some custom work on another doll.

Spicing things up a little

I decided to spice things up a bit and decided to rehome a few of my dolls, for those of you interested there is Sales Information here. I am currently looking to rehome a nude Kirsche pullip, a NRFB Monomono dal and a Rouge Noir blythe. I am the point where I have so many dolls that there are a few that get zero attention so I decided to let them go.

I am also already in the progress of trading one of my twin Hangry’s for a Fairyland Puki Piki. Adorable Aubrey is possibly also being traded or sold if the trade falls through.

Dollfie Dream
I got in on the preorder lottery for dollfie dream Rin today.

I should know whether or not I have won the right to buy her on the 15th.

Pullips
Kirakishou the second and Papin the seventh arrived today in the mail. Kirakishou isn’t staying long so I made the best of her short time here. I had to get a shot of my complete Rozen Maiden doll collection.

I also decided to take a picture of some of the rarer girls together because well they are so rarely altogether, never mind photographed.

Blythe
I had kind of been wanting to acquire a black haired blythe, unfortunately I seen not one but two pop up for good prices. So I have an All Gold in One (Goldie) and a Love Mission on the way.

Pullips

The March Preorders finally arrived..

Oddly the pullip release is my least favorite of the releases. I really love the dal even though their eye patch was a pain to actually get to stay on.

In other related news, I bought a 2nd Kirakishou and I have already rehomed her before she even arrived. She was ordered through a misunderstanding and I didn’t really want her (I wanted a 2nd Kira but not right now) so I am glad I was able to rehome her quickly. She is going to go live with Requiem and Dalvam is finally coming home. I also bought a 7th Papin from the same source so I can complete the rainbow. For those of you who don’t know Papin is my favorite pullip and I have had the secret ambition to own seven of her so I could have one rewigged in each color of the rainbow.

Also I seem to have lost track of how many Jun Planning dolls I own.. I am going to actually have to count them as I either have 179 or 184 but I am entirely sure which. It’s a stupid problem to have but a problem none the less.

Joyette

Joyette returned home with me yesterday along with a wonderful new doll carry bag designed to fit pullips/ blythes. Joyette is a custom by Requiem and she is based off of the doll carnival exclusive dal Jouet. I had originally mentioned that a pullip Jouet would be super adorable the first time Requiem and I met and well the fates aligned she had a free weekend and I had a spare Hello Kitty…

I am in absolute love with her, she is so adorable.

In actuality my Frosty Frock is having a RIT Dye treatment to change her hair color. Both my Frosty Frock and my Violetina got new hair colors.. Frosty Frock went green and Violetina went purple.

Requiem also tried to teach me how to sew, I made this skirt on Joyette and I helped make a black and white skull and cross bone skirt as well.

New stuff..

The mailman stopped and seen me this afternoon. I also got my Books-A-Million order in as well today but didn’t photograph it.

Dolly misbehavior

Somehow, someway HLJ actually restocked two blythes that had been listed as discontinued- Friendly Freckles (who I already own) and Ashletina (who was very high on my wishlist). I ended up caving and ordering Ashletina even though I really shouldn’t have.

I am potentially up to 14 blythes now:
Own- ADG- Roaring Red, Cancan Cat, Sunday Very Best, Rouge Noir, Friendly Freckles, Frosty Frock, Violetina, Custom Precocious’ Candy Mushroom and Heather Sky
In the Mail- Adorable Aubrey, Fruit Punch, Mondrian and the above mentioned Ashletina
Preorder- Sunshine Holiday- might end up canceling her.

These things are multiplying at an alarming rate.

Well I was going to say things have been quiet on the pullip front but low and behold I just ordered a little Froggy pullip ^^;

Jun Planning is no longer going to be distributing pullips, which actually sounds good to me quality might improve plus the original creator is getting more say on the designs.. judging from some of the designs I have seen on their blog I can’t wait ::prays the penguin dal actually gets released::.

I also commissioned Angelberries to make a small order of dresses and matching socks for a select few of my girls. One dress is especially for Azreal (my favorite pullip).. not entirely sure who the other dresses are going on just yet, I think the strawberry dress will go on Joyette and one of the other dresses will go on Mondie.
