Spicing things up a little

I decided to spice things up a bit and decided to rehome a few of my dolls, for those of you interested there is Sales Information here. I am currently looking to rehome a nude Kirsche pullip, a NRFB Monomono dal and a Rouge Noir blythe. I am the point where I have so many dolls that there are a few that get zero attention so I decided to let them go.

I am also already in the progress of trading one of my twin Hangry’s for a Fairyland Puki Piki. Adorable Aubrey is possibly also being traded or sold if the trade falls through.

In other news I unexpectedly won the preorder lottery for Rin

Volks power..

To me these are kind of like giant 1/8 scale figmas except they break apart with an irritating ease..

I had seen these quite a while ago but although Asuka could be found somewhat easily, Rei proved somewhat harder to find. I decided I would wait until I could I find the set rather than risking having an orphan figure especially since I have such a disproportionate amount of Asuka to Rei figures as it is.

I had kind of forgotten just how odd the Rozen Maiden Customa P figures were, while they are flexible the joints are pretty obnoxious (although truthfully I don’t mind the joints that much) and the plug suits really do not help the matter. I still like them even if I am afraid to handle them as every time I do an arm pops off ^^;

New stuff..

The mailman stopped and seen me this afternoon. I also got my Books-A-Million order in as well today but didn’t photograph it.

Dreaming..of a doll with a sniper rifle..

Yoko has been preordered ^_^ She was preordered before she was fully revealed so I was a bit apprehensive about what the final design would be but I am very happy with how she turned out.

There was some discussion about possibly getting Nia as well but I am not entirely thrilled with Nia’s design (especially the eyes) so it was decided against at this time.. besides by not buying Nia I still might be able to get Illyavasal in the somewhat near future.

Recent Developments

Been attacking Yahoo Japan again buying up an interesting combination of figures…

Evangelion- Rei & Asuka- Volks- Customa P Figures- Found the two pack of them cheap and had been wanting them for quite a while

Fate Stay/Night- Rin- Clayz- I was forced to expand my fate display space so I now I have room for some fate figures I wanted but didn’t have the room for.

Fate Stay/Night- Saber- Alter Wonderfest Exclusive- Now this one is kind of funny because I was looking for it for someone else of course I made the mistake of deciding I needed a drink at that moment.. When I got back with my beverage in hand I had curiously won with the BIN, I was perplexed until I hear from across the room “great find” ::is still slightly annoyed:: .

Presents= Win

So yesterday was my birthday…

Very happy with the birthday haul, I have a couple of other things still making their way through the post as well including my Trigger Heart Exelica Nendoroid/game and a couple of other things. I feel horrible, I stayed home all morning for a specific package from a friend of mine and my mailman never rang the bell, eventually when I checked the mail I seen a sorry we missed you slip and I was pissed.

I was really touched by an unexpected gesture from a friend of mine dark_skada, apparently she and a few of my other doll collecting friends came together and made this. Seeing that really made my day.

Updates and recent haul

- I actually cancelled some preorders out of apathy, they were mostly stuff I was on the fence about it plus I can almost always get the stuff for cheaper after release if I do decide I want it later on. I am probably going to cancel more tonight. I even cancelled a few figures I hadn’t been invoiced for yet at HLJ.. I am to the point where I just don’t care. 
                             
- Toyslogic shipped my package :O it should be here on the 19th. I paid for it almost two weeks ago, I emailed them two days ago asking what the hold up was.. apparently in the interim they actually stocked out on two items one being the Kanokan figure regular version Kotobukiya figure which I didn’t really care about (which I have known about for about a week and was replaced with the Odin Sphere Gwendolyn figure) and the other being the Bank Robber Joker which I was very upset about. I called them as soon as I found out about the Joker figure and eventually they were able to acquire me one. Recieved a nice email from the owner or rather the one who pays the bills did, they just forwarded it to me. I have such a love/hate relationship with that store. I preordered about $400 more worth of stuff between last night and tonight so I think it is safe to assume they are back in my good graces.

More new stuff that arrived today… most of these came SAL but still arrived within two weeks so I was kind of pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately my blythe was not among them >_<

Ikki Toussen- Ryofu Housen- Yamato Figure – Eh, at the time of ordering I knew I would at least be getting the Kanu Dollfie Dream and wanted more Ikki figures especially of Ryofu as she is my favorite character. Not as nice I had hoped, I remember when this went up for preorder and deciding against it. I kind of wish I had gone with my original instinct on this one but seeing how I only paid 1300yen and not the original msrp of 6800 yen I am not going to bitch too much.

Nanatsuiro Drops- Sumomo Akihime- Jun Planning- I love this show… not nearly enough figures from it. This one kind of threw me off, the prototype picture looked wretched so even though it was Sumomo I decided against preordering. The repaint prototypes looked less wretched so I preordered the green/yellow version off of hlj. After having the repaint a few weeks and actually really liking it, I spotted the original for 1000 yen so I purchased it. 

(Top) Melancholy of Suzumiya - Nendoroid PLUS- These little guys were only available at Animate stores in six different regions of Japan. Each set of three is specific to a region and features stuff that region is famous for. I paid about 6000 yen for the complete first set, hopefully eventually I will be able to track down the second set and the Lucky Star set.

(Bottom) Melancholy of Suzumiya- Petit Nendoroids- Bon Festival Set- I honestly I am not trying to collect all of the petit nendoroids, I do have the 1st Lucky Star Set (I have the 2nd set preordered but yeah), the two that came with my Lucky Star nendoroids, the red haired Shana and a froggy Mikuru that’s it. Petit nendos are cute but I don’t want a whole stack of them as I only have so much room for gashapon. I liked this set because it came with all the girls without their being variants etc. that I didn’t neccesarily care about. 

Bottom Row (from left to right)- 
Vocaloid- Miku- Volks- I <3 Volks. This was one of my most desired figures for a while, finally purchased her (the twins are in the mail). Absolutely gorgeous figure, unfortunately mine came with a weird paint flaw on one of her pigtails but it is not noticeable in photos. The most expensive item in this particular haul.

Fate Stay/Night- Dark Saber by Alter- As usual the tiniest of Saber kind of bothers me a bit, nice figure all around though. Alter rarely disappoints me, details are nice the only thing I am kind of iffy about is the stand not really digging the color so much. Paid 3,000 yen.

Melancholy of Suzumiya- Chara-ani set- Bought for dirt cheap, they are very small and I am not entirely happy with them. The Suzumiya in the chearleader outfit is my favorite of the set.

Ikki Toussen- Sonsaku- Wanted more Ikki figures as stated above, I like Sonsaku’s character design but I only really like her in her school uniform.

Dollfie Dreams again

Here’s the dollfies in there case. I had intially only planned on getting one dollfie so they are a wee bit cramped in there and yes their case has a lock on it.

I got some reasonably better pictures of them today that I am a bit happier with.


I still need to redress Ryomou but her stockings were such a pain to get up in the first place I am not in a rush to take them off again.

Dollfie Dreams Kanu & Ryomou

I got them both opened and dress but as the light was fading so I unfortunately did not have much time for pictures which means I am not exactly happy with these photos so here goes…

Oddly I find myself preferring Ryomou over Kanu, they are both great but Ryomou comes with handcuffs and boots of doom. I am still flabbergasted by the size of these two.

I dream of dollfies.. part 2

I have to the conclusion that I can not own a single doll of a certain type, I prefer for them to be in pairs at the very least. With that being said I purchased my second dollfie dream today before the first one even arrived.
 

It should be obvious by now that the first dollfie dream is Kanu who will hopefully be arriving Wednesday/Thursday according to her tracking number. Ryomou has officially unseated Kanu as the most expensive of my anime purchases by about $120 with the conversion rate but she comes with both of her optional outfits whose MSRP were 12,000 yen each so she is actually the better value.
